video reportage in Italy
Ancona is a close, yet unknown and mysterious city. When you come down from the Cathedral from which you can admire the gulf with its port, before reaching the sea, you come across Santa Maria della Piazza, a Romanesque church, a jewel hidden among the streets. A look under the glass pavement reveals magnificent early Christian mosaics enshrined for centuries. In this ancient and sacred place Alberto welcomed Lucia, who arrived aboard a blue Ape Calessino. Relatives and friends armed with rice and party blowers waited outside, in the shade of the arches and bas-reliefs carved on the churches’ magnificent marble facade. Dismissing the perils, the fearless newlyweds stood their ground with water pistols and smiles. We followed them as they strolled to the red lighthouse, among the fishermen's boats; the port as a backdrop. Ancona is a city unlike any other, it triggers unique creative suggestions such as the orange Vespa with which Alberto and Lucia surprised the guests who were waiting for them at the banquet, waiting to kick off frenzied dancing, surrounded by the joy of their loved ones.
